Poda in Albania

Poda is a village in southeast of Albania, in Kolonja district.The most famous figure of this village is Zylyftar Poda ( a XIX cenenary warrior who fought Ottoman invader).Now poda is a depopulated village with only 11 houses.

Iljaz "Zylyftar" Poda (a Albanian Hero in Kolonja, the great rebel warlord that defied the ottomans) is the son of Kiço Xhavella the suliot who along with Marko Boçari gave independence to Greece from the Turks.
